San Antonio Zoo

I had the chance to visit the San Antonio Zoo recently. About 1/4 of the zoo was closed off but it was still an interesting visit. While I have not always been a strong supporter of zoos they do serve a very good and real purpose. Through zoos, children have an opportunity to see animals that they could see in person no other way. This can in turn spark an interest that could lead to a future in the sciences. As for adults, it can spark an interest in the greater world around us, especially through the educational opportunities a good zoo offers. There should be many more images to come.
